SCUFF MARKS/Santa Pod

Dear All,
I am a new owner of an RS4, after having 3 Subaru's I decided it was time for a change.
I have only had the car a week and already I have scuff/scratch marks on the side skirts from myself and passengers getting in and out of the car.
Is this a common problem and is there a solution or am I to be more carfeul and warn every future passenger when getting in/out of the car ?!!
I took it to Santa Pod raceway Sunday and did the standing quarter mile in 13.6 secs. I know this can be beaten as I didn't quite get the take-off right, has anyone else had a go and if so what was your best time ?
It was nice to blow away the Scoobies and Evo's though !!

I'd highly recommend having armourfend fitted to at least the top of the cills and the top of the rear bumper.
Three of us did a group fitting a few months back, and got a discount as a result. I personally had
the cills, rear bumper top, front of rear arches, and the front bumper done, which was around 400 quid IIRC.
If you do a search on here for 'armourfend' you should find info with prices for each.
Cheers,
John.

Indeed good advice, the only way to keep them tip top is armourfend them, then you can keep them clean easily by washing
I think they are only £40 each side but as John says, best do front and rear bumpers too

Oh yeah, welcome aboard the good ship RS246
And we hope you like the site and enjoy the car even more
Personally I have blown out 1/4 mile challenges as it puts too much strain on the clutch and drivetrain, to some owners peril!
The car is a 30mph - 150mph sprinter rather than from launch just due to the torque required to get such a heavy car moving IMHO
Well enjoy all the same
Best regards

Hi John,
Any photo for your fitted armourfend ?
Thanks for sharing.

Sorry Ken, I don't have any to hand.
I will also say that from a general photo you would not be ableto see it.
Think of a 1mm clear sticky-back-plastic film, and that is close to what armourfend is.
If I get the chance this weekend to take a couple of closeup pics of the rear bumper, cills, rear arches, and side of the front bumper I will do so.
To give you an idea a friend of mine recently asked who put my armourfend on as he couldn't see it (until I pointed it out of course !). A good fitter is crucial to getting a good job done.
The edges show, but only if you go looking for them, and don't show from around 10 feet away.
Cheers,
John.

Sorry Ken,
no chance to take pics over the weekend.
I'll try to get you some tomorrow evening.
Cheers,
John.
