Before I would try that (technically), I'd be interested in knowing if the RS6 brakes are better then the RS4 brakes? Any 1st hand experiences around?

From what I hear... you're wasting your time. Get some _real_ brakes.

OZ did the swap of RS6 brakes to his RS4 and as far as i know he is totally satisfied. Maybe he'll tell you something about it by himself.

So does that make them "real" brakes then? Or is just the caliper from brembo but the disk not up to the job?
Confused...
Does Mr. Ozz have any comments on usage of the brakes?
Could they just be fitted to 18" wheels or were modifications needed (e.g., 19", other rims)?
Any price quote, roughly?
Thanks

IMHO the views on RS6 Brembo's are reflected in the performance of an RS6 on a track. Several reports have indicated overheating on the brakes, no doubt due to to lack of pad surface area to disc, and probably the pad compound itself.
They look superb, but the pads are very small - do they work effectively on a RS4 on a trackday? Only OZ has the answer to that, but I would suspect that they perform better on an RS4 than an RS6 due to the weight.
Whilst on the subject of the best brakes, I personally feel that now I have completed 25k miles on a set of Sportec 380mm drilled discs with two sets of Pagid Yellows, that these discs/pads are the best "compromise" for everyday driving and trackdays.
However, the "best" for trackday use would surely be ceramic grooved (not drilled) discs/with matching pads ala Touring Cars/DTM - unfortunately these discs would last only 2k miles of everyday driving and squeal like a <beep>.
With the compromise we have, ie 380mm front drilled (coz grooved do not dissipate heat on trackdays) the market leader is Brembo. Porsche, Sportec are Brembo and Movit copy Brembo's design if indeed they are not Brembo under licence. A few other smaller companies offering IMHO equal products as we speak - AP Racing and Hispec included.
With A Sportec Brembo Pagid Yellow front/rear setup I do not get brake fade at all during any point of a trackday (lets say 4hrs of tracktime in one day) and they don't squeal on the road.
Unfortunately I do not believe the RS6 caliper/disc with any pad can offer me this .... shame coz the're dead sexy looking b*stards.
