Suspension

Post by Rs4b541 » Sun Apr 11, 2021 3:12 pm

Hi all, can anyone advise me on where to get front coil springs/shocks from please for my b5 RS4? I’m trying to keep it original and don’t really want to go down the route of modifying but finding it difficult to source the parts, thanks.

Yes they are from dealer, but wasn’t sure if they could be sourced somewhere else? It’s looking like I’m having to go down the bilstein pss9 route

Not at all, get the bilstein B8 sports dampers for the S4 and use your original springs or eibach sports springs from the S4. You need the front lower spring seat from the original dampers, not the S4 seat. I've written something on here about this suspension and it's quite widely used by 246 members. It is a very satisfactory substitute for the genuine dampers. I've had mine fitted since 2014 and would go this way again without question. I also use the same concept (differnt part numbers) on my RS6 with equally satisfactory results.

This is a high performance car, why are you just replacing the front dampers? 20 years old!!!
