Clutch kit : Needing bedding in or wrong kit?

Post by weta.worker » Thu Jun 21, 2018 5:22 am

Hi all,

Hoping you can help me out.

I've had the RS4 off the road for more than a year now (sourcing parts etc).

It's all back together abut the mechanics suspect the clutch kit I sourced is incorrect for the car.

It slips under load.

I've got some other feedback suggesting it could just need bedding in.

I'm wondering how I (or the mechanics) know if it needs bedding in or if it is incorrect (or something else)?

Below is the email I sent the clutch kit people (in the States) who said this kit was fine for my RS4.

I have a 2001 Audi RS4 (B5) and I’m wanting to replace \ source

Clutch kit
Release bearing
dual mass flywheel

Are these the correct parts for this exercise?

NB: I’m trying to keep the car as OEM as possible.
