B5 RS to B7-Advice Please

Heres my dilema

I keep thinking about changing my B5 really fancy a V8 so thinking about a B7.
C5 out as i want a manual,so has anyone made the switch but wished they had'nt.
Opinions/advice welcomed good or bad.

A few people have done it and gone back to the B5, but then a lot have stuck with the B7 and not looked back.

I've done it and the B7 is without doubt the better handling and more dynamic car. It's also just as quick provided it's well looked after, carbon cleaned, no vac leaks etc.

There is something very rewarding about winding up an N/A V8 to 8k rpm. That said, the turbo shove from the B5, providing relatively instant torque is also great. So really depends on what you're after.

I don't think you can beat the supercharged b7 for performance but IMO a well sorted b5 is just as good as the standard b7 on the road and arguably more fun.
