19" wheels

Post by kcsun » Mon Sep 12, 2016 1:24 pm

I have found a set of 19" wheels that I like, they are 8.5j wide and "suitable" for a RS4

what tyre size do I need that is not going to rub and of the correct "load rating" and keep the speedo correct

existing tyres are Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 255/35 R18 Y (94), Reinforced, Asymmetrical

Lots of calculators online for this.

You need to go 255/30 so down one profile and check that the offset of the new rims is close to ET20. You can usually go as low as ET5 on an 8.5" rim. Some people run 265s but you really need a 9" rim.
