Clutch issue

Post by kcsun » Sun Apr 12, 2015 7:23 pm

My car has now done 125k on its original clutch
I went out today and after about 40 miles on A roads, I approached a junction, as I depressed the clutch pedal it felt really soft but selected 5th gear with no problems, I then went down to 4th then 3rd and the pedal only seemed to operate on the lower 50% of travel and would not return to its default position. I drove on for approximately 15 miles with the same pedal problem although there was no slipping of the clutch
I arrived at my destination and left the car for about 4 hours. I then started the car and drove it home about 20 miles, everything was normal!!!

Never had this issue, is it the release bearing? clutch master cylinder?

Any ideas

Alright you cheeky old devil :bigwave: How you doing :?: 125k on the original clutch, well done :thumb: I reckon you might get better feedback from SRS as there are more B5 owners over there.
