B5 gearbox issues!!

I have had issues with 1st and 2nd sync and after a couple of months i lost 1st and 2nd.not really sure why it just would not select either gear. i had the car looked at and the issue seemed to be the selecter which runs through the top of the box was seized or broken. i,ve had the box out and syncro replaced. It was then checked on the bench. All seems ok! but since being refitted its seems the gearbox is stuck in gear?? even though gearstick is in neutral??? Any ideas !!!

1st - second synchro hub is seized, common problem on these im afraid, where abouts are you?
