Quote "out of interest, are the B7 RS4 rear discs an improvement on the B5? I'm giving up on the hope of getting the GmbH rear discs so wondering B7 discs could be an option?"

i currantly in puttig the B7 rear disks and calipers on the rear the disk is bigger but don't have thinfo to hand as to how much but will get it or someone with grater intalect than mine will pass it on but you can't fit the B7 disks to B5 calipers i have had to get the Caliper brakets and bolts ads these are thicker than th B7 and a diffarent thread so you need to bore out the hole in the frame to allow these to fit.
but i havent got these on yet as i goth the brakets then found out i needed the bolts too and i'm currantly working so soon as i have these fitted i wll do a proper write up on step by step and the part numbers with the total cost. but it's not a cheap upgrad for the rears probably othere disks on the market that would be a cheaper option but i want to keep the car with standard Audi parts so this is the route i have taken

Thanks, I would go pagid by default for anything.

Sounds like a very nice upgrade to me.. look forward to seeing detailed pics.

My understanding is that the B7 rear disc is 324 mm up from 312 (B5).. not sure if they are any thicker?

Also does anyone have any pics of the rear caliper in the B7? I expect it is just a simple 1 pot.. shame they didn't make a nice 4 pot RS caliper to go with the front.

Me too David, but I have been quoted £275 for Pagid fast road pads for the RS6 calipers - yikes, that's nearly as much as the calipers themselves!

The OEM RS6 pads are Pagid Blacks, not sure which rating. IIRC Pagid do a 15 and 17, I think the OEM pads are the 15.

You might get a better price from www.vagparts.co.uk

Vagparts want £173+VAT for OEM pads (didn't realise they were Pagid blacks though - cheers Damon)

What pads are the RS4/S4 boys who have RS6 calipers fitted, OEM or aftermarket??? I don't want to spend the thick end of 200 notes to find out that OEM pads aren't up to the job.

Where are you based? I might be interested in your current calipers... if you are wanting to sell them ;)

What is the best price you have been quoted on RS6 calipers and B7 discs?
