So how did it go ScottyBoy? I hadn't thought of MRC before but it looks good and low cost for Stage 1.

It does say 98 octane though. I guess Esso 97 is OK because that's all I have near me.

Whats the HP and NM difference between Stage 1 and 2. I definitely don't want stage 3 with Miltek.

Sorry Justin i havent got an answer for you two cancellations, numerous business trips and a holiday in Florida to come home to no business have put that little episode on hold, oh and also before i went away an engine management light came on which was subsequently put out and now returned bringing with it a loss of power, so another trip to Audi find a new business then a trip to MRC (if they will accept my call again). Bet your glad you asked :boohoo:

I'm in an S4 and have nothing but praise for Doug at MRC. He know's S4's and RS4's and is a safe pair of hands. Worth the journey and a couple of £hundred extra for the peace of mind.

A lot of tuners take liberties with other peoples cars, mass market chip resellers, trading on a brand name and quoted HP figures.

What's far more important IMHO is that the torque curve works for YOU and that the car is not left vulnerabe to failure due to wiggy settings

Where to begin, well i set out at 6.30am from Norwich to get to MRC by 9.30. On the way i got stuck in the usual English traffic jams but everytime i got going again i noticed a little slip of the clutch just put it down to the stop start of the traffic (not the fact i have this awful habit thats worse than smoking i tend to ride the clutch very badly, i use it as a footrest) got there about 9.45 met the main man Doug. What a great guy so meticulous a real expert a real gentleman amongst thieves. He done all the tests, roadtests etc and got to work. Two or three problems and 9 hours later the car was ready for roadtest and re-map. On the first run i was amazed at the increase in power but even more amazed when doug sat there smiling telling me he had hardly begun (that guy smiles permanently i think he would still be smiling if his arse was on fire). Two more runs later and i was feeling an amazing power increase and i mean a big increase it was scary, but then doom the clutch started slipping.four or five more runs we were up to full boost and even with a slipping clutch the car was flying it was angry, i have never been in something so fast in all my life, this ride should be at Alton Towers. Then the inevitable happened the clutch got smoked but i managed to leave just enough of the good stuff on it to nurse it home. (Just want to point out it was my decision to go ahead with testing when the clutch started to go). So a 3 1/2 hour drive home nursing my broken baby sort of took the edge off it all but i cant wait to get the clutch done next week.
Conclusion is the power increase is like nothing you can imagine but im not sure about the new exhaust note, its very deep and on a long journey i think it might get to me. Im not sure whether the deeper louder exhaust note has changed the identity or refinement of the car so the jury's out on that one but the power is incredible.
