Soft wheels - what's the latest?
Front or back wheels with deformation? You can't feel mine when the two buckled rims are on the rear axle but as soon as you move them to the front there is a vibration at about 80 mph. Any large deformation will result in juddering etc....
I really wish you well on this one and hope you get a set of hard wheels, but bear in mind if they see any kerbing they will reject the claim.

Thanks Contigo
.
I'm not OCD but I couldn't live with kerbed wheels especially with a good refurbisher down the road.
Mine have been refurbed to O.E. spec in the past I suspect but they'd be hard pressed to tell (assuming this would be an issue) - deformation is on inner edge anyway.

Birmingham Audi have agreed to replace the 3 soft wheels so that's good.

Just bought my dad a 2.0TDI SE A4 Avant on an 09 plate and had it chipped for him. Nice motor what with the SD card slot and Phone prep etc... also got the MMI. Nice motor, but I had him drive me this evening in the RS and he was grinning alot! Agreed it was a different drive and alot more sportified than his limo.

It's not a bad car, I just take exception to Ford Focus style silver plastic in a 'prestige' car and especially an Audi.Just bought my dad a 2.0TDI SE A4 Avant on an 09 plate and had it chipped for him. IMHO it's indicative of the drop in quality that has come with Audi getting all the market share they could ever dream of and thus not needing to try as hard as they once did when chasing BMW.
I wouldn't buy a 3.0T if it has this sh1t

The cabin quality is definitely not up to the RS standard (but then I wouldn't expect it to be) but for me the cabin of the A4 is in a different league to that of the BMW 3 series, I hate the layout and minimalist design of the Bimmer.
I agree though over the years since the B5 and B6, the cabin quality has dropped on the Audi's.

I hate Bimmers too (have been driving an E46 M3 of late with an open mind but it's no match for the RS)
It would appear that if you want to get free stuff like this done, December is pretty quiet in their workshops so it's quite laid back, they offered to let me have the A4 overnight when I should have dropped it back later that day.
I'll have a 2.0 TDI A3 Black Edition next week when the car goes in for the wheel swap, gangsta..

I hope the wheels help rid the car of a very subtle wheel bearing/misshapen tyre noise, the buckles look bad enough.

Got the wheels on today, managed to get back in the freezing weather without damaging them.
Had a 2.0 TDI S line Avant today as courtesy car with the christmas tree DRLs.
Should be a desirable car but for all its gadgets its just an A-to-B device.
A fact highlighted when I got in my 10 year old freshly valeted gadget free (kind of) car which oozes quality.
So
to the Listers Group and Birmingham Audi for handling it very well, thanks to Audi UK too!

Didn't drive it for long enough or fast enough but it does seem smoother..I hope the wheels help rid the car of a very subtle wheel bearing/misshapen tyre noise, the buckles look bad enough.
Need closure !
