hope your cars are recovered asap with minimal damage or better still if the keys where available. Being stolen from inside the workshops then do MRC leave keys in the vehicles overnight?

what about cctv coverage in that ind est ????

sorry to hear of this guys, its sickening what some people do to others.

whats the story with Doug in Belguim?
The keys are locked up inside, one has been found all ready. this is no ones fault just a bunch of wa**kers taking piss I'm sure there not the only tuners that have been broken into unfortunatly a sign of the times with live in.

Doug is working round the clock to sort this problem out maybe thats why he is to busy to awsner the phone plus he just had a new addition to the family so not the best time at the moment.

MRC have insurance so everything will be covered

Doug is not in Belgium. I can't even see how that has made it into the discussion here... OMG...

I feel really sorry for everyone involved. Sorry for the owners of the cars and sorry for the people @ MRC.

I don't think it is a unique incident though, and certainly nothing to do with any 'local' issues, its just a sign of the times. These cars are worth a lot of money in parts and I suspect a lot of the parts will have already been sold by now.

Anyway, if it makes anyone feel better, I know an Audi dealership in one of the most high-class areas and they suffered exactly the same fate! So its not just a problem for the smaller independants.

i just wish people would read the whole thread before adding little bits here and there, the lads at Mrc will have enough to sort out without having to come on here putting things straight..having spoke my tuner today about some work and mentioned this he's suffered the same thing a few years ago and it can and will happen anywhere regardless of the area. one owner has posted on audisrs his car has been returned so fingers crossed for the rest of them but stop the chinese wispers eh lads?

While I too feel deeply sorry for all involved, maybe this thread should be locked as its not doing anyone any good. It just seems to be damaging reputations that take many years of VERY hard work to build.

I've not visited MRC myself but a friend has with his RS4 and he said they were great. Lets not taint that image with suspicions eh?

Amazing this thread is still rolling along with all the speculation. FFS Doug is a busy man and he doesn't have to answer to anyone on here. So what if he hasn't posted on an internet forum!!!!

Let him get back on track and get the business up and running again, an event like this takes so much time to get over and is a major PITA.

Give MRC a break!

Agreed with the last few posts. Awful news for all those concerned (and actually involved), and fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

As for the rest of you, get back to talking about the cars.

Your right Contigo, I've never been to Mrc though you keep telling me to go and get my car mapped.lolI've been in the motor trade for many years and have experienced this first hand. Its like having you house broken into and turned over. The last thing you'll be thinking of doing is booting up the pc to chat on forums. This is his livelyhood and when you think he has to get himself sorted as well as pay wages, keep the business operational, deal with the police, insurers and probably feeling as sick as a pig for his customers that have left their pride and joys in his trust. Maybe support is whats needed here....rant over!!

Agree with everything you say eyeball! been up many many times and lets face it anyone with a bit of nous can locate MRC and given that its co-located with other businesses and seems to enjoy many a passing closet RS fan its not rocket science to suggest that a few shady characters may fancy their chances...
Regards and respect to Doug and the team, hope it doesnt prove to be too much of a setback- they're all complete petrolheads and must feel completely gutted about the cars concerned.

Regards

Steve

Hi guys,

Red_Rocket. Sorry to hear of your loss.

My S3 was stolen as well, absolutely gutted to hear of this via an answer phone message from Banbury CID yesterday afternoon!

2001 Silver S3, AMK engine, 19" Mania wheels. Supersprint exhaust, Backdraft BT kit, Porsche big brakes, ECS Tuning stage 5.

Spoke to the PC and my S3 was pinged coming back into Banbury in the early hours of Sunday, shame there was no marker on PNC at that time!

Spoke to Doug and waiting for information about the insurance.

Just keep an eye out guys...I know it's a long shot, but I would really appreciate it. Y874 KAN

Thanks,
Gav

Well put Eyeball :)
Sorry to hear about your S3 Gavin.
There are ANPR cameras between M40 and first r/about into Banbury, interesting it was still on the same reg then.
Hope it turns up intact, same for other 2 and hope MRC can get back to normal soon, never used them but I do sleep easy knowing they are there should the worst happen to my RS4.

crap news, hope they get caught.....but TBH the ANPR cameras are not worth the poles they are mounted on.

DVLA issued me with a duplicate tax disc when one was lost in the post and then cancelled it in error nine months ago, (long story).
in short I was driving around with effectively no tax for nine months until a random van clamped me outside my house. (all resolved, no fault of mine and no costs!)
in that time i drove 400 miles of the A1/M1, M25, London CC zone, M6, M23, M3. M4, M40, M62, Edinburgh, newcastle, York, Windsor city centres numerous times without any alerts or contact from plod.

doesn't give me much faith that they can find their ass with both hands if they really had to.
