Really sorry to hear the issues you've got, personally I'd get it fixed, at least you'd be able to sell it for 'equivantly' more once fixed.

I came out of a 911TT to the RS4 , totally different animals. 996tt, esp with a few mods is blisteringly quick, standard they're OK, but again, we're talking relatively here.

MRC, the boys!

Post by Tomson » Fri Jul 25, 2008 6:56 pm

Firstly, I apologise for spelling etc. I have been at the pub for a few hours drowning ones sorrows.

Basically the car does have dead turbos.

I must say that Lucas and Doug and everyone else at MRC have been world class. They are IMHO one of the only options in the UK at the moment ,if you own a performance Audi.

The car was dropped off yesterday and within 3-4 hours I had a breakdown of the repair costs and the work involved.

A decision has been made, the car is now for sale in its current condition.

Please bear in mind that the turbos have expired.

So any of the previous worries about the car and its turbos, should no longer be a worry. If I was an interested party I would instruct MRC to do the work and then have a mint (high mileage) RS4 with all the kit (as described in the for sale advertsiment) for a bargain.

I hope that makes sense

My number is 07974348777

If at all possible I would like to get a deal sorted by the end of next week at latest.

The car is avaible to be viewed at MRC.

Please PM me, phone me or email me with your offers.

Cheers,

Tom

<beep> luck bud. Hope it all comes good.
Did MRC say what has 'expired' with the turbos?
What does your local man have to say about the situation?

Mikey,

Not really having much to do with my 'friend' at the local garage. Obviously not his fault as the turbo 'shaft' was likely to brake at anytime. Hence the noise that sounded like the exhaust baffle. Just not handled very well. They are all ex-Audi 'technicians' at the local garage.

Offers are coming in allready, hoping to get this sortted by the middle of next week at the latest. I want to put it to bed. Seeing the car is painfull, it looks so fine.

Bugger. As I said though I have to make the descion based on financial factors and what I want to achieve in the future car wise.

Will be taking the Porsche to MRC though.

I know it might seem cut-throat to a few, but I really need to recoup as much as possible. Thus far I have been offered £10K.

Cheers,

Tom
