Great detective work chaps, what a small world we have here!
When I was looking for mine someone here remembered it and had test driven it and that was how I found it had an MTM stage 2, the Audi dealer selling it didn't mention this!

I seem to recall this beauty was for sale back then and was in North London, Wood Green area? I think it was also spotted and someone replied to the spot with a PH link.

Hi guys new to the forum.

I know this car, its still in the Wood Green area and last time i saw it had the number plate M400 CEE, as its parked on my road frequently. Its unfortunate what happened to it i.e stolen recoveries etc but it really does have all the right parts.

I've spoken to the guy briefly about it, he didn't mention the accident damage as i've now come to expect, especially after i said i could be interested!

A real eye opening thread thanks guys :D

"All the right parts" or a straight, genuine example?
I know what I'd prefer..

Wouldn't be so bad getting an accident damaged example if the price reflected it and it had been fixed properly. However this one is up for top top dollar which is a joke!

Well said Simon though this confirms that if you aren't an expert, it's worth buying from a reputable dealer as badly repaired and even stolen/recovered cars can be HPI clear, after all it takes a lot to write off a £20k car so while, say an A4 1.8T on an X reg may get written off if it needs £10k worth of work, an RS4 probably wont..

maybe the reason it has all the right bits on it is to hide the fact that its been repaired badly
