it was at vmax when I got a ride in Martins x50, its was still wrenching at my guts going through 150. Top speed about 188 iirc wioth a little left in it .

fastest rs4 down the strip so far has been andiroos at 182 (again iirc)

Me and JR early one sunday morning down the auto bahn with the speedo over 190 and the sat nav saying 182 and no petrol left.
Too much is bad.
Plenty is better.

Indeed, not a debate its a fact.

B5RS4 is slower than 911 turbo (996) in almost all comparison.

Comparing the stock 996 turbo to MTM458 hp RS4 makes it look more even. Check sport auto comparison of tuned RS4:s http://www.olio.fi/downloads/Chip.pdf

996tt / RS4_MTM
0-100 kph 4.2 / 4.1
0-200 kph 14.6 / 14.8
top speed 305 kph / 295 kph
Hockenheim lap 1.14.6 / 1.14.6

So an RS4 with 460 hp, proper brakes and cup tyres does really give the stock 996tt a hard time. It is all up to driver. And I'd guess RS4 is easier to drive at 10/10...

Hey Guys! Howz it all hangin'!

Anyway, I will get my 2p worth now!!!

What are your 1/4 mile times, I have ran 11.89 @ 119.7mph but mine is roughly around 510/520 Bhp.

I will try and get standard times of 996 Turbo but to be honest this still means nothing! The best way of telling is to have a 3 seperate races, first from standing, second 30mph rollin', third from 60mph rollin'. Just means weather conditions are same etc, etc.

I loved my RS4, yip, still miss it! (Lengster u lucky git) the 996Turbo is a bit quicker though, but it's the drive of the 996, these cars are so bloody good. I had a shot in a GT3 recently and it was awesome, I thought my cornering was good but this is unbelievable! My Turbo was quicker on straight but the GT3 makes this up on braking and cornering! I have decided to keep my Turbo for another couple of years as the new one is pretty similar in looks (apart from that stupid front bumper, lol) but the GT3 is tempting, I think the new GT3 looks the bollocks, they have got it spot on, very tempted!

I haven't been around for a while, hey simple and JR (fellow porkers) what you been up to? How's the RS Lengster?
