With 25% of drivetrain loss, a 500hp RS4 will put 375hp at wheels. That means 125hp of loss.Jani wrote:
I doubt RS4 would have 100 hp more drivetrain loss, but Cd x A is a big factor.
The M6 has 15% of drivetrain loss. So a stock M6 (507hp) put 431hp at wheels. That means 76hp of loss.
So the M6 has more 56hp at wheels and if you add the CdxA factor, there is no doubt that the M6 has all it needs to be faster than a 500hp RS4.
But look at the difference in weight. Power to weight is an important factor also. I've no doubt the M6 is quick (in a straight line), but when you take everything into account, it shouldn't pull away like it does, which leads me to believe that it's not standard. So the M6 has more 56hp at wheels and if you add the CdxA factor, there is no doubt that the M6 has all it needs to be faster than a 500hp RS4.
p.s. are you Tiago from Powertrain?

It's not so much the way it beats the RS4, highly modified, 5 years old may not necessarily be running right, whole host of things could make it sick, but it's the way it destroys the 911 turbo that gets me. I was hoping to get one in a year or two, I dont want a BMW!
RS4 B5. Where it all started.
RS6+ Never to be replaced.
Replaced by: 997 Turbo. Didn't like.
Replaced by RS6. I like(d).
Land Rover Defender. Not as nippy.
Back with C6 RS6
And again C7 RS6

Indeed. If you look really close on the video you can se her sweet ass revealed in the passenger seat window...rs4-sson wrote:Put simply.....does not compute.
There is no way that this could happen (all things being equal). Possibles:
FEED ME driver was getting blown by his bird at the time and at the critical moment lost concentration....
Other than that, I can't explain this mystery
Also taking into consideration her weight of 100+ kg, the difference in weight between the M6 and my RS4 is really to the BMW's advantage.
Last but not least, the turbo boost for some reason wouldn't peak the way it should. (On the other hand, the blow job measured 2 bar, which in some way compensated the loss of boost from the engine...)

Listen all, there's a huge post going on (16pages long) on the Porsche forum regarding this!
It's true it can take the GT3, 996TT(stock), RS4 and event the GT2 (please note staight line), the post even has the drivers from all the cars as you could imagine there are ego's being blown in the Porsche Forum and all sorts of <beep> going down.
The bottom line is that this car is bloody fast and the only thing that just takin it in a drag was the RUF 996TT 550. (probably take mine also as i'm around the 520mark now)
I personaly ain't to bothered, the new M5 ain't that pretty to look at compared to the RS4 and especially the Porsche. Pretty reasonable price for the 4 door M5 £62K but the M6 is over £80K
