AVS's on the 19x10 rim are superb. Pilot Sport 2's would have been even better but as of Dec last year they didnt have the right size

Hey Gav, when did you go to 19's?

Been sitting on them for a while now Andy, bought them s/h but one of them was badly bent so have been patiently waiting for a new one. Summers nealry here so I thought I'd best sort them out and get them on the car.

Bracknell tyres: Bridgestone SO3's: £90 each. Good Year F1's: £80 each. You may have to wait 2 hours to get them fitted as there is always a queue but its well worth it.....

Nope. The queues are long so you will have to wait and you may have to order in advance. I forgot to mention that is for a 17 inch rim, but even so, it was over £40 cheaper per tyre than what I could get locally...it's got to be worth a phone call? (01344) 411323

Been running with the yokos for a long time, but the word on the street is that the new PS 2 from Michelin, is the best thing today, but it's very expensive.
I have been searching for tires in load of places, and the best thing to do is contact tirerack.com or some oder company that has every possible sizes. Ask them to chip it to you.

www.protyre.co.uk

Just ordered 4 * 255/35/18 Goddyear F1's, fitted, balanced including VAT @ £580.00

Was thinking about buying 19" RS6 rims as some great deals on replicas, I was quoted 19" replicas with 265/30/19 conti 2's at £1150.00 all in (wheelbase). I was then going to sell my RS4 rims, but in the end decided to get the F1's for my standard rims.

Protyre in Gloucester, very smart depot.. Will let you know what their spanner monkeys are like when I get back tomorrow.

That's an excellent price - £25 a tire cheaper than what I thought was an excellent price!!

I'll be keeping a note of these guys! :beerchug:

From all the previous posts I take it that the P-Zero's are not too popular here. To be honest I think they are fine - and I also think my driving is reasonably "enthusiastic" (otherwise what's the point of having an RS4?). Plus the price seems good compared to F1 and PS2 - I paid about £690 for 4 P-Zero's fitted and balanced (255/35/18 ).

Interestingly every single tyre shop I asked for a price quote recommended NOT to get the Goodyear F1, the reasons given were always something along the lines of "the rubber compound used in the middle section wears off very quickly resulting in less grip, loud noise, blablabla". :?:

Just had them fitted, very nice place... took about an hour...saved £80.00 quid over next cheapest - which can't be bad.

The differnce from the worn AVS's is amazing, will let you know hoe they wear.

I use Protyre in Bristol, amazing, all the boys know their onions, there has never been a time when they have not had a tyre in stock and I have a braod range of need, 215/50/15, 205/55/16, 245/50/16, 255/35/18, 190/50/17, 225/45/17, 245/40/17 etc and all at the lowest price I can find locally
