Hi does anyone have the wiring instructions for this mod? I have a single stage system that I want to connect a dual stage airbag to.

Who's mrc? I am confident in soldering and electrical work so just need a few simple instructions in terms of what wires go where please. I see that the RS4 wheel has 2 airbags or at least twin igniters hence twice as many wires as my Mk1 TT wheel.

Naresh, I would fully consider the risk/reward for doing this mod. There's another thread on here which highlights the dangers of doing this mod. I've spoken to a number of Audi mechanics and specialists and non of them would guarantee that in the event on an accident the air bag would deploy. The two main things to consider are: 1. Your insurance is void if you have an accident as it's not a supported configuration from Audi and secondly is safety. I would guess we are all pretty confident drivers on this forum. However I was on the M4 last Friday and witnessed a Ford KA getting slammed into the back by a Freighliner truck+ trailer. The momentum was enough to shunt the KA into the van in front and pretty much shrink the vehicle by a good foot or two.

After seeing this and realising that it's the other drivers out there I have to look out for. I've decided that my life is more important than a very stylish looking steering wheel.

Thanks for your comments Kiwi, this is certainly a hot topic I agree but something I am fully researching before I make a decision. I would like the OP to get in touch though or anyone else I can speak to and confirm the wiring modifications necessary to carry out this mod.

As above, contact Doug @ MRC, he should be able to give you the info you require.

Thanks for the details, I've emailed MRC now but not counting on a reply seeing as they offer this as a service. Can anyone else explain the wiring to me please, can't get hold of Jazz.

Why not book it into MRC??
They will then be responsible for it being right (hope you never find out)??

I don't fancy paying someone £100 plus for something I could quite easily do myself with the right guide. I've modified every part of car so far and only paid for the remap which was the best mod pound for pound. :)
