In my experience, a B5 RS4 OEM rim will fit in the boot wheel well without any cutting / modifying if the tyre is fully deflated. If you need to use the spare, just use the OEM electric pump to inflate.
The boot carpet still sits very slightly proud but it's really not noticeable.
