Thanks for the tips! As you say you live n learn!

The place I get mine done, actually grind down the surface, so that once the carbon and lacquer is applied, the thickness becomes as it was stock.

not sure what to charge really. I'll definately make you some though as i quite enjoyed doing them and learning a new skill.

First set of fitting pics. Think i definately need to do the inlet snorkel to the airbox and some sort of cover for the RHD of the bay too now!

Looking good!

Get a new water expansion tank.....nice and white to finish it off!

I've been trying to find a cover. Read somewhere that a Passat V5 item fitted, but never got round to looking into it.

bit of google bashing.. Passat PAS cover may fit, definately much easy shape to carbon wrap.

Look at this.. Full RHD cover on a W8 Passat!

I don't really like the W8 cover....plus the expansion tank looks totally different. Pipes will get in the way IMO.

Plus too much covered IMO is doesn't look good aswell.

i could always try and fit the W8 tank too? Or butcher the W8 cover, once its carbon wrapped you wouldn't be able to tell. If one comes up for reasonable money it would be rude not to offer one up.

virdee is correct passat v5 cover fits after a bit of modification. Have got it on mine will take pics later and try and post.
