first of all apology for not checking this earlier. Just had an email from jonmurgie informing me of this thread. I have had quite a few people look at the car with most coming up with a rediculous part ex at the last minute, or unable to raise finance on a 7 year old motor. Then there are those who make an offer on email without even talking to me or asking any questions. Very strange. As Daveweld noted there are a few chips to the bonnet, but having seen Nick J's collection i dont think mine is the only one with that issue. At the end of the day i could get it sprayed but the car has done 90k so not sure i want to pretend it is showroom! Maybe i should get it done for the £600 i was quoted? Interior is in A1 condition compared to others i have seen with no carpet wear and all leather still in top condition. i think jonmurgie is keen to take a look so maybe he can post a non bias opinion on here.....

ive looked at a few now with my partner he really wants one, but im abit reluctant as there seem to b so many dodgy ones, the owners of which should be ashamed. the guy with the noggy was the most genuine, nice guy, one we went to look at had some dodgy wheels travelled 150 miles on the assumption it was mint to find it had replica wheels which he said were genuine audi, looking round the car i found filler and it had been painted in places im no expert but also havent got a white stick, rant over,oh and it was silver u know who u r.

What is he after? I agree there are some pretty dog cars out there but how much is your partner willling to spend to get a good one?

There are some good cars out there but as you say few and far between.

im under no illusion u get what u pay for, we have looked at ones ranging from 14 to 18, is that stupidly unrealistic in this market, like i say im no expert but they are being advertised as mint for 16 to 17, i dont know maybe i should log off and leave it to the big boys at the end of the day we just have to be patient still wouldnt of minded that noggy could see myself doing the shopping run 2 sainsburys in that beast

I reckon 17-18k will get you a good one. You seen the one Bneaves is advertising in the classifieds? My money would be on that for 16.5k

I think I know the one - if it's the one I'm thinking of, you could tell the wheels weren't genuine by looking at the pic. They were sitting far too much into the arch and even looked like 17".
(Man are we missing neckarsulm )

Where was the filler??

Any in this area again, I could take an initial look at for you before travelling up? (I'm from Coventry so know how long the journey can be...)
