My guy had to order them in but supply wasn't a problem.

Thanks will give them a try.
For anyone else interested I tried Blackcircles and Micheldever tyres and they both suggested that Goodyear had a massive promotion on these but forgot something quite important.......to make any tyres :bash: . They both had no idea when they were going to see any come into stock.....so it could be a bit of wait.

I was told at one point that supply could be a problem because they are selling rather well

I am on Contisportcontact 3 s at the mo, not all that impressed considering they are the most expensive of the lot, dont feel any different to the contisport 2 s I had on before, if anything less grip than before, no impressed.

I have just got a set of hankook RS2 s to put on, I will stick the contis in the garage for now, the RS2s were cheap so gonna give them a try.

Roadwheel have same problem as the other two....none on the shelves and no indication from Goodyear as to when they are coming through....might have to find an alternative.....or go with PS2's.

Anyone here running semi slicks like the Michelin Cups you get on an M3 CSL?
Wonder what they'd be like on an AWD car?

I'm running Dunlop Supersport Race which are available in RS4 sizes and although they do not offer quite the same 'feel' as the PS2's I had on before, there is so much more grip available. My ESP used to come on pretty much all the time exiting roundabouts in 2nd, now I rarely feel it intervening (even with a sprint booster fitted!)

They are not quite as 'slick' as the Michelin Cups and have a normal tread pattern, but they are very soft and sticky, even when cold.

PS2 are all ive put on mine,be carefull considering the goodyears as rs4 is a heavy car and the extra load ps2 work well to combat sidewall flex just my 2p

I have on both std 18 and 19inch wheels. I wouldn't recommend them for the road during the winter, they really need a bit of heat in them for grip. You should also be aware that the load rating isn't quite high enough for the RS4.

As for wet weather, they only come with iirc 6mm of tread from new and again no heat = no grip. I lit all 4 wheels up in 3rd on the straight at Donnington park in the wet, still not quite sure how i managed to avoid the pit lane wall or any of the marshals that were jumping out of the way!

Saying that in the dry with a bit of heat in them they are spot on. IMO At the end of the day they are a semi slick tyre best suited to a dry track.

Costco are good for PS2's - if you have a card to get in - or a friend with a card. They usually have deals on if you buy four tyres. Last quote I had was £570 for 4, fitted and balanced, IIRC.
