Full Size Spare

I'd always thought you had to go slightly smaller to get the spare to fit without problems. There was another thread about this before. I have an Audi fitted spare but the wheel is narrower and the tyre is 235/40/18 Pirelli P Zero. It fits perfectly and I know a few other who have this as their spare. All the tools fit in the middle as normal and there's no bulge in the carpet. I'd always assumed the well was the same dimensions as that of an S4 and didn't get modified for the RS4 and that's why it will accomodate this size wheel but not the 18" RS4 wheel.
