which incidentaly we now have in stock along with a quantity of brake pipe and assorted ends. when we swapped Clives we were lucky in that the O/S hoses were seized solid and no amount of persuading could get them loose. i say lucky because the N/S ones came apart straightaway, if we'de tackled the nearside one first it'd have been too late to get the tool and hoses to get the car mobile again before monday.you may also need to use a pipe flaring tool
moral as Clive says is to have everything to hand even if you don't intend to use it. as far as bleeding the brakes goes i'd disagree that it's a straightforward job. we pumped 4 litres of fluid through the system using the foot brake and a pressure bleeder and we're still not entirely happy with the pedal feel. they've also been bled by profesionals who have impoved it marginally. we also used vag-com to bleed the ABS pump. we're currently looking for someone with a vacuum bleeder to see if that will sort it.
