DNA tuning - Seriously advise against this outfit!!!!!
MTM - Have been around for a while, expensive, better on the Stage 3 stuff.
AMD - Have been selling RS4 code since about 2002.
Sportec - Again probably better for the Stage 3 stuff.
Revo - As far as stage 1 goes, you get a free trial. You don't like it, go buy something else. Revo don't really do custom maps.
DMS - Heard some good reports.
ABT - Not heard a huge amount, usually the Audi approved favourite.

Basically, it's only a Stage 1 you're looking for and the biggest risk is that a component may fail with the additional demands made from it. You want to try and find someone who is close to you and who cares enough about their reputation to try to ensure that they sort you out. To this end the idea of going to see MRC seems to be a good one, but if you live 4 hours drive away you should really look to see who is close by who also has a passion to get things done right.

One day, soon I hope, I'd like to see what the MRC boys are up to.... Maybe I'll get an invite?

doesn't mean they are better though! in 3 years i've had revo, apr, custom code, superchips and then finally a mrc map which is miles ahead of the rest only paid for one of the previous remaps btw.

Actually I did, but I mistakenly thought that the question was about chipping an RS4 :smile_smoking:
