I agree. I can't believe that the M6 is standard. The 996 TT is a sub 10
second 0 - 100 car. The M6, according to what I can find, takes
just over 14 seconds to get to 124. I can imagine that it would be close
between the 996 and the M6 upto about 150 - but those videos were not
close.

I also notice that the M6 doesn't over take the RS4 until it hits 5th gear which by my calculations must be well over 120 mph.

The point being, an RS4 must be a bit like a brick at 120+ compared with an M6. So perhaps aerodynamics play a bit of a role at this speed as well.

You can not tune M6 V10 too much, it is N/A, so chipping is useless. I'd guess it is stock or close to stock power.

996tt pulls ahead first, thanks to 4wd traction and turbo torque, M6 only murdering it in 100+ mph. And "Feed me" RS4 leaves the M6 standing at the start, even if it is rolling. Aerodynamics help M6 in the end. A bit pointless really, that M6 is really fast only after all the legal limits. But then it is seriously fast!

On that video you can see how easily that RS4 is pulling away from M6. No change at all.
But we can ask from Feed Me owner what happend :)

Put simply.....does not compute.

There is no way that this could happen (all things being equal). Possibles:

FEED ME driver repeatedly missed gear change

FEED ME stuck in (5th) gear completely

FEED ME had another kind of problem (lost boost, coil pack blown, MAF sensor etc)

M6 driver is in fact a master of voodoo and therefore cursed the yellow missile...

FEED ME driver was getting blown by his bird at the time and at the critical moment lost concentration....

Other than that, I can't explain this mystery

It is a simple doubt technique, about performances!!!! :biggrin3:
for example, see the side by side of M6 vs M5, the engine V10 is the same, but.....

I can't understand you. Even if Feed Me had 600hp at crank, a stock M6 will put more hp at wheels. Above 200kph very few cars can perform like the M6 due to its low cx and high rwhp. AWD rocks for rain, snow, gravel and for inexperience drivers, but a truly rwd will kick any awd in dry roads. Do you remember when the fwd xsara kit cars beaten all the wrc cars in 2003 Monaco Rally Championship...

Massive weight difference between a WRC car and kit car.

...and kit cars were allowed slicks, WRC's grooved tyres IIRC

I doubt RS4 would have 100 hp more drivetrain loss, but Cd x A is a big factor.

transmission loss is about 110bhp on my S4, should be similar on the rs4
S4 Crazy Horse. Ringsticker & MRC black magic.
