Any reputable tyre and brake garage should be able to fit them for you for no more than £50.
Too much is bad.
Plenty is better.

The calipers are held on with a piar of bolts and the disks with a pair of screws.
As long as you have some hoses too they are quite easy to do.
Takes no more than a morning to fit - I did mine myself (4 pot).

All you need is a jack, the right sized sockets, a torque wrench, a bottle of fluid, and an easi-bleed.
All available from halfords

If you really don't want to do it yourself try giving mk4Ash on here a pm - He's an audi tech so might be able to do it for you.
Hrm....I'm sure I remember hearing that you needed VAG-COM or similar in order to fully bleed the brakes correctly ? Anyone know if that's true ?
Dave, no vag com needed as I know of, but if you are changing the fluid completey for new or something different (eg. racing fliud) you need some sort of pressure bleeding equipment to clear the abs system out correctly.

something like that anyway.

Porsche are actually Brembo...Movit used to use Brembo calipers (modified to fit), but have now designed their own. I think some companies may still be able to put modified Brembo calipers on
Having a set of Brembo 6 pots fitted at the moment. Believe they were actually desgined for a GT3 but with 3 mm machined off the back they fit exactly onto an RS4, same fittings and everything. I know I'm getting a good deal but the price for me should be just under £900!!

Any kind of performance mod. makes the inadequacies of the standard 2 pots even more noticeable. Having had a set of Movit 4 pots on my previous S3, which were expensive but fantastic, it was certainly one of the first things I had to change. :nogarors4:

You need a vag tool to cycle the abs pump if you are replacing the fluid completely I am told.

NA, deffo not if you are using a pressure bleeder, If you try to use the ABS pump as the source of pressure then maybe.............

does anyone know if you can swap out the old discs that came with the AP 6pots for the new floating ones, or does it require new bells and stuff as well?

Not sure where the "floating" part comes from, I would imagine the bells are different, but a quick call to AP tech might help answer the question, their number is 024 76639595
And if you do call them, ask them for the part number for the rear conversion kit .......please. Ta

After a recent enquiry at Demon Tweeks, I was told that AP Racing do not do a big brake kit for the rear for the RS4. Only 6-pot kit for the fronts..

Can anyone confirm?

Cheers

There is not one listed in the 2005 catalogue, and Demon Tweeks dont have the kit number either, but it does exist as John RS4 amongst others had it fitted. Only people who will be able to tell you the part number is AP technical. Kit consists of two calipers, two discs and bells and two seperate handbrake calipers with additional mounting bracket.

Deamon tweeks gave me a quote for the rear brake kit when I enquired about the front one...the rear kit was more expensive !! Unusual.

you only need to do this if a lot of air has entered the brake system (ie you drain the fluid completely from the master cylinder etc rather than force the old fluid out with the new.)
M3 CSL - Silver Grey, a few options.
