DO IT

I had an '98 S4 for three wonderful years and took the plunge in Feb 2004 for a 2000 RS4 with the MTM 420bhp. Absolutely ****** awesome, is all I can say  . Don't think about it any longer, just do it.

Previous threads have mentioned costs on the RS4, overall I reckon my RS4 is costing me less than the S4 - even fuel is only 2 or 3 mpg down on the S4. Cam belts are every 40k wheras the S4 is at 80k. I would seriously recommend getting an Audi extended warranty. If you buy privately you can get a dealer to put a warranty on one after it passes a used car check (that's what I did). Warranty is handy since my beloved is currently having two new turbos fitted.
