yeh me too but thats what came up on the dyno, to be honest from dyno to dyno it can vary the first dyno done only showed 399 bhp and 550 torque but the temperature in the dyno lab was very high as the aircon wasnt woring very well. I really think that it varies from place to place, however the torque is fantastic, the car isnt really any different 0-60 but mid range torque is fantastic. You can improve the 0-60 with the sps3 as this allows you to change boost settings. I am having some work done in the next few weeks so will be re testing, I will let you know what the results are.
One thing is for sure you wont be unhappy whatever the bhp or torque is!

Thanks for all the info - so I'd genuinely notice a performance improvement? Don't supose anyone has any numbers to get all excited about? 50bhp would translate roughly into what performance times? Cheers
RS4 B5. Where it all started.
RS6+ Never to be replaced.
Replaced by: 997 Turbo. Didn't like.
Replaced by RS6. I like(d).
Land Rover Defender. Not as nippy.
Back with C6 RS6
And again C7 RS6

i found the performance awesome when first put on,but i must admit i prefer the standard around town as it is much smoother coming on and off of boost.i suppose this is to be expected with more boost.the extra power is great fun at night and on the motorway in high gears you will notice a great difference.
a new smoother version sounds worth a try and i think anybody who bought revo is entitled to new software as a free upgrade.
the sps2 is a better option as the immobiliser is a great asset.and i like to use it both ways.

As promised here is the figures of my RS4 before the Revo is installed.
The test was carried out on Starperformance of Fifes MAHA 4x4 rolling road. 5-11-2004
Power was 403bhp and torque 322 lbf-ft.
Was very surprised at the bhp figure although Jim that conducted the test says it was of little surprise to him given that RS4,s with 2k on the clock produce the 380bhp figure that Audi give for the model.
It should be noted that no rolling road is 100% accurate and the figures could be as much as + or - 2%.
Brooner also made the trip down and also had his car dyno tested.
Am sure he will post his figures pretty soon for comparison.
All in all a good day, much thanks to Jim at Starperformance for all the advice and information.
Also cheers to Brooner and his sat-nav
Next stage is Revo trial next Sat....cant wait
Cheers fc

Hmm I think thats a mistake between Nm V' ftlbs i.e. 565Nm=416ftlbs. Your right Frank REVO have on their site 430bhp and 450ftlbs. That's way higher than both MTM, AMD, O.CT, Sportec which are:
MTM stage 1 420bhp and 550Nm (405ftlbs) basic remap
AMD approx increase 80ftlbs over stock 325ftlbs = 405ftlbs. basic remap
Star Performance quote 435bhp 450ftlbs
O.CT advertise their stage one as 413bhp and 515Nm (379ftlbs) Stage 2 = 435bhp & 540Nm (398ftlbs), Stage 3 455bhp, 560Nm (413ftlbs) This is the full exhaust system.
Sportec 420bhp 413ftlbs.
I'd say REVO's site is wrong and Carlosfandango is right.

It should not be to hard for the Revo upgrade to reach 430bhp given my car and Brooner,s car are posting 400bhp + on stock setting.
Almost all "tuners" qoute around 380 bhp for a stock RS4,so a 50bhp increase is more like 30bhp re:Revo
Be interested to see the figures post-Revo upgrade, as we have 2 benchmarks to measure against.
In the end its all about how the car drives and on a number of occasions today i found myself going backwards as Brooner surged forward due to me being in too high a gear.
The results will be here asap for all to see.
Cheers fc

It would be much easier all round if the various tuners qouted their figures in a standard format.
for example if we are talking BHP then the torque should be in lbf-ft(foot pounds).
If they want to use torque,ie Nm they should qoute the power in Kw.
I agree Golich,i think Revos claimed 450 lbf-ft probably is a mistake and taking in to account what the others are claiming perhaps it should be 405 lbf-ft.Could just be an honest typing error.

This is about normal for a torsen-quattro...
Although, if you look at Prawn's image gallery, his dyno runs indicate losses around 170-185 BHP, which seems very high to me!!!

No wonder a decent tuned IHI Golf could keep up, only around 30bhp loss to the front wheels...
