Well i'm back in RS4 (b5) territory!! picked it up last Monday, Avus, Black leather FASH 65k.
Its a totally standard car, it wont be forever, though i wont go mad. Interestingly i also have a very well sorted UR quattro that pushes out 450BHP and is savage by comparison to the RS4 so i will need to do something.
Just love the RS4 though, glad to be back...
Darren.

Hi,
I had one years ago and have always missed it, just love the look of them and generally everything about them. I bought this one as a 40th present to myself.. If I'm honest i was going to get Ferrari F355 but just dont like the engineering my other cars are quicker and can be used more often.
So in truth i would of only being buying a Ferrari to say i have one and that not me. So along came the RS4 which is more me.. and i have saved some money to... so the wife's happy(er)..

The one off of PH from Southampton. Just seemed a very honest car and owner, keeps calling me to talk Audi's which cant be a bad sign.
Cambelt, pulleys, tensioner and water pump done 3k ago. brakes have plenty of life left in them. 4 brand new hard wheels and tyres + a further two spare.
No fault codes and drives spot on. Will probably change the MAF DV's & N75 as a precautionary measure.
If i'm honest the paint work is not as good as i would like but painting classic cars is my hobby so no worries there and i would rather have better mechanics than paint which this example currently has..

Aha, confused because he's used the Fontain pics.
That car was discussed on another thread when I was looking for an RS4, someone spotted the paint looked off on nearside and the badge was on wrong side but as you say the mechanical side of things is more important.
You don't have to say but did you get much off the asking price (so we can get an idea of the state of the market at the mo).
Funny how Honahon didn't go for that one as he lives down there and had that kind of budget
