Really amazing car!!
But how much have you really spent in it?
Are you sure this intercooler would fit an S4 avant 2000? Where can I get those?
I am running the K04 turbos, but the car seens to not to be running corretly. It´s always on limp mode.
By the way, are looking forward to sell the stock ones?

I am going to try to take a film of the intercooler freezing.
Normally, if you buy an oval sprayer that you place on the intercooler it only covers part of the intercooler.
Have you guys noticed how the tube on my car goes all the way around the intercooler ?
Eric only driled 6 little holes in the tube, where the intercooler is hottest. Eric has this theory that if you spray this area only with NOS the whole intercooler freezes.
He was right !!! Unbelievable that you spray 15% of the surface only and the whole thing freezes.
I took her for a test run last night with a frozen intercooler......damn ....i could hardly hold the steering wheel straight she was pulling so much...

Just the front mount intercooler and the 16 inch racing fan keep the car so cool that i strongly recommend that all of you change the OEM fan at least...it really is a must....

Now that you have the Achtuning oil cooler installed what do your oil temps look like ? You have the PS cooler mounted in front of it too, which is what I will be doing so I am curious. Also, Looks like Sportec will be in Colorado first week of April, almost finalized. ASW in Colorado is where they will be. See you there ?

Hey, they also have a covered transporter to pick up your car if you don't have the time to drive it out there.

I spoke to sportec this morning and don't waste your time going up to colorado, Gunther the engineer will come to florida and tune our cars at the 4 wheel dyno at champion racing, right after colorado.
I went to a dyno today ..and we measured the car with air passing through the intercooler and without.
The results were scary..
I got 387 at the WHEEL without and 431 at the wheel with air passing through the intercooler...
I think 431 at the wheel is something like 550 horsepower.
Without air it's 491 horsepower...
Ill post dyno results later

Sounds like you've a beast on your hands there.

Interesting to see a different appraoch to tuning the 2.7TT apart from the free-flow-downpipes and exhaust-rechip-route.

So what have you planned next, I could never stop modifying.

Awesome, I think it is more than 550 from test we have done over here the power loss was between 24 and 27% through the drive train

I guess that makes it more like 570-590bhp at the flywheel, nice
Can't beat a bit of boost!

What would happen if you froze the stock intercoolers?

DOG
CORRECTION
I am sorry what i had stated previously was incorrect.
431 horses at the wheel, was with a frozen intercooler.
Forget all this nonsense about air and no air...apparently 2 small fans were blowing towards the intercooler all the time.
The ambient was 26 celcius yesterday, so we got 387 at the wheel with ambient temp, and 431 with a few shots of NOS before the run freezing the intercooler.

Florida is more of a hike for me than ASW in colorado. to Colorado it's like 15-16 hours, to florida it's twice that.

Good news about the Dyno information and Airflow. I'll mention that when they tune the car. When I logged my car with the VAG-COM I watched the intake airtemp rise when the car was stopped but as soon as I pulled away and got airflow thru the intercooler the intake temps dropped like a rock falling off a cliff.

How have your oil temps been since adding the oil cooler ?

Question, you running the stock clutch ? Also, are you running stock injectors ? I think the number you qoute are about max the stock injectors can handle from what I have read/heard. Same goes for the air intake/Maf. I could be wrong but heard 400HP to the wheels equates to about 550 crank HP and that's about the most you could expect before having to upgrade the injectors and going to a little large MAF housing like AWE uses which is again about 25-30% larger than a RS4 maf housing.

yes i'm running stock injectors.
The clutch is a semi-racing clutch built by a guy in CA.
Of course with front mount intercoolers all the hoses have been changed.
I have not noticed a difference in oil temp with new cooler.
Oil temp seems to be very low anyhow.
