RS4 Insurance
RS4 Insurance
That expensive time of year again ---- insurance !
Had the car for nearly 3 years now - and still LOVING it ! Nothing even comes close for anywhere near the same cost. I have always riddne fast bikes too and love being in a car that can challenge ANY sports bike down a twisty road.... Dont want to change ...
However, always meant to ask if anyone here can recommend where to look for possibly cheaper quotes ?
All info gratefully received.

RE: RS4 Insurance
Have just renewed mine with Direct Line and declared my mods. this time (Stage II) With protected no claims and full discount it comes to £658. I was quite pleased but a quiet rural postcode helps
Car as standard was £580

RE: RS4 Insurance
Admiral £380 - I think, for a stock motor. Audi are now offering to beat insurance quotes.
RE: RS4 Insurance
Admiral for me too. Just got my renewal and it has gone down from £610 to £575 this year.

I use Elephant - £ 628 for Full Class 1 business use with mods declared (Stage I and Movit front brakes). One problem is that Elephant do not cover the costs of the modifications only back to stock. Not ever likely to need to claim for CPU chip so not a problem, but brakes or other stuff could be.

If you dont "do it now" you never will.

Just tryed Audi for a quote £1400
thats more than tripple my currant permium elephant at £400. Lowest on confused.com diamond at £353.Audi say that they will compare with normal Audi's but soon as you mention RS or S there's a shrap intake of breath. So it looks like i'll be changing to diamond then.

Thanks for all the replies - some odd prices being mentioned ! - £305 ??
Was that fully comp ? Cant imagine having anything less on RS4.
Direct line did it in the end for £700. Seems OK to me for the car it is.
Mind you, trying to insure my 12 yr old beat up transit van (only used for moving trials bikes about) is proving insane ! Costs for 3rd party only from £250 - £600. (Its only worth £600). Nuts !
Any ideas ?
Thanks again

If they are soft wheels, why did you not just get free replacements instead of getting them re-furbed?
Or am i missing something?

Simon,
Think this was posted in the wrong place mate, but to answer your question. I was under the impression that JonP has allready moved over to the hard wheel - hence why I did not check prior to the refurb. As soon as I get 5mins I will check to see. I would suspect that he told me that, although I am known to loose it occasionally, so I would suggest it was the crap roads in the spa town that caused the problem.
Oh and I am insured with Direct line also, me and the Mrs £680.00 and she is 27.
