Hi, can anyone recommend a competent main dealer for a 50k service. I live in London (Docklands), but willing to travel. Want one who knows what they are doing and who care - do they exist? Also need a small door dent removed by an expert?
Cheers

Decent Main Dealer
RE: Decent Main Dealer
Always been happyiply serviced by wayne at dovercourt battersea
for mine.
Just over wandsworth bridge is Hurlingham coachworks, who do at least 2 RS4's in London (Steve Mc knows them too) ask for Mark.
If you contact them please tell them I recommended them in case they give me some discount at my next visit! (Robert Jebb Goodwood RS4)
Good Luck

A few of the old Audi dealers are having thier franchises taken away as Audi want them to fork out Millions on new corparate look centres and double their sales which has happened locally, the owner lives around the corner from me and has told me first hand.
They are keeping the servicing and appear to have more secondhand Audis for sale than the main dealer, why did I not use them for sevicing..................................well the parts dept could not be arsed ringing me back with a price for mudflaps and overmats shortly after i bought my S4 so i could not be arsed putting 3k@s worth of warranty work their way.
Courtesy goes a long way .
Jim.

Folks
Thanks for your responses. I will call the audispecialists.
In the meanwhile for those of you who use main dealers, my recent experience shows it pays to put these dealers under scrutiny. Perhaps the threat of losing service franchises is a greater than losing sales. The dealer from where I bought my car in London last Nov, confirmed that a 40k service and change of cambelts would be completed by them as a condition of the sale, amongst other things. I paid a slight premium to reflect all the things they said they had to do to the car plus + warranty. Upon making enquiries to get a 50k service done, I decided to go elsewhere as I had been totally unimpressed by their service & pats dept. My enquiries via other dealers revealed that the cambelt change had not been done at point of sale by the dealer, but some 8000 mls earlier by the previous owner!
Long story short, I got my 50k service free last week! However I've made the decision that any other work i.e. new suspension needed etc. I will not touch a main dealer. Not only do I not trust their technical competence, their parts departments appear particularly hopeless. I've had the same problem with overmats, GPS aerials etc., giving wrong information and failing to call back as promised.
When these dealers lose Approved status of any kind, I'm really not sure what the value of a main dealer history will be to owners of RS4's.
