I would love to be in a 911 but until they devise one that has a boot to fit the golfclubs in (or pushchair) then I can't swing it.

I did have a plan to do with a LHD 996TT and a roof box though...:D

It's because it has those gorjus bucket seats in the front. I have JR's old rs4 recaro's in mine atm, same thing happens, it turns it into a proper 5 seater!! No issue with rear leg room what so ever even with 6ft peeps.
Too much is bad.
Plenty is better.

Sad to here your leaving for the dark side ben. you'll have to get youself on a BMW drivers day, to get the hang of the rear wheels poping out round coners on spirited drives. hope you the wife and the little one are well. take care :bigwave:

Heres a quick pick for you. Naturally a very conservative colour and all I need now is lesson in how to get in and out gracefully!!

Found and got :D

Shame to say it, but it is a far better car than the RS4! Just the noise it makes is worth every penny

Even though half of Essex want to race me, I love it to bits. Plus the Mrs is too scared to drive it because the gearbox confuses her. Result!

Nice one John. If I see you around I'll be sure to crash into you - err - give you a wave  :bigwave:

Ben, I still remember following Tim back from Spa last year in his CSL. We could
hear his car over the RS4s, and it did sound lovely.
Maybe one day I'll overcome my bmw-itis and try one for myself

Cheers,
John (patiently waiting for some pics to look at 8) )

In what way is it better then RS4, maybe more fun because of the rear-wheel drive , its defiantly not faster, or is it? :D

Doubt it's faster, but disguises speed very well (unless the spedo is rubbish).

It basically handles itself better, no silly wollow, or funny business under braking, you actually feel in it, rather than on it :D

Don't get me wrong, the RS was brilliant, but I sort of felt I was hanging on to the car as it was sooo rapid, but didn't excell in any other area. The CSL feels much more connected, the driving setup helps as you are upright, don't need to take your hands off the wheels, and have a nice chunky steering wheel with only the M Track function on it.
The back wants to play all the time, will probably become a bit of a pain in the winter, but at the moment it certainly keeps you awake. The RS was just too simple and too good for its own good, didn't feel like it would teach me much (probably not the case at all as no way did I exploit it enough).

The good thing is that I'm pleased what I did, I thought I may regret it but the CSL is better than I thought it was going to be - difficult to sum up, but I hope it makes some kind of sense!

All the best

Ben
