Well nearly should striking the deal as we speak

The car in question is a 2000 X RS4 in avus silver, black leather, arm rest, nav / tv, sunroof etc etc it has done 59k with full audi history, warrenty paperwork for gear stick, maf, coilpacks, has receipts for new discs / pads all round from audi

all it needs is 2 rear tyres and some tax at the end of next month everything else seems to be ok it no longer has warrenty it has a milltek cat back exhaust and a revo chip with the sps3 controller.

what do you recon is a good price for this car it is up for 26k but i recon i might be able to get it for 25k maby a little less?

cant find any paperwork for a clutch so presume its still on origional but cant imagine its going to last long its been chipped for about 7 months now.

only problem is it has a warrenty receipt for a head gasket at the beginning of last year is this something to worry about or not?

any advice will be great

cheers

J

Welcome chap :D

Price sounds good, failed head gasket is something I've not heard of before. Bear in mind that sometimes the heads will need skimming if the gasket fails so make sure that the job has been done properly and try and find out what caused it. If in doubt, steer clear.

Cheers

Ben

Sounds like a good price to me for what your getting. If you manage to get it for 25k then you have a result.
I've also not heard of any head gasket problems. Maybe you should ask the previous owner why it was done (dropped its coolant, burnt a valve, etc)

Don't foreget to have a read of the RS4 register sticky thread (top of RS4 forum) and pm me your car details once you get it please
From the description you've given I don't think this is one I know about (not seen it in the adverts that I've checked).

Cheers,
John.
