Larger intercoolers on RS4. Is it worth the money?

Post by Sigmund » Sun Apr 10, 2005 10:28 am

Hello! I am new on this forum.
As topic says, is it worth the money? I have been thinking about intercoolers from Sportec.
I have changed my turbochargers.

Sorry my english is not so good.

Thank you!

Depends on why you want to change I suppose. Have you considered the FMIC (Front Mounted Intercooler)?

Going for the sportec intercoolers which are easier to fit, than FMIC, is only really worth about 25hp and very expensive, the FMIC is cheaper and gives a massive 50hp more , but be warned there is a huge amount of work involved

Check out Prawn's gallery for FMIC pics. Sizes will be available from the DUH website. I forgot - the last 2 FMIC's were for sale on this site a few weeks back.
