RS4 mileage

Post by bobjebb » Sun Feb 13, 2005 8:24 pm

I was wondering who owns the lowest milage RS4 in the Uk. Perhaps there's one tucked away under a sheet somewhere with delivery mileage!
Jay Kay's maybe..

Does 'clocking' go on these days? Are there any clever ways of knowing for sure? Met a guy recently who reakons more dealers are at it than we would think

Im afraid it does mate thats why you need to be very carefull when paying a premium for low miles, most top german cars have the mileage logged in several systems for checking by main agents, you have to study historys carefully when buying check dates of services and amount of consumables its had etc the dealership that i bought mine from had serviced jay kays rs and reckoned that he said if he could only keep one of his cars it would be his rs4, cant argue with him

met him myself at a polo match in the summer - he says he prefers his 4 to his 6 - then again he said the Enzo was a bit special. Decisions decisions...

I'm sure this will be beaten but mine's "quite" low miles: 19500. Still on the original tyres (yes I do drive like a granny...)

I bought it at 2 years 3 months old when it had 8500 miles on the clock.

Cheers, Richard.

the last conversation I had with him at Goodwood last year, the car is standard and was going to remain that way, funny how he likes the RS so much, he was sitting in the back seat of his Bentley at the time

13500 on mine which is pretty low for a 4 year old car IMHO.
