This sat nav thing makes me laugh most rs4s are low mileage yet everyone needs nav to get to there local supermarket?as mentioned on other threads its not the greatest system anyway,if you see a car for sale and it doesnt say it has nav thats more than likely because it hasnt got it,so whats your first question going to be to get the owner on the backfoot?has it got nav?even if your not arsed about it its all mind games,i wonder how they managed in there scoobys etc ha ha

Chuck in a Garmin Street pilot for £300!

Must say I was keen on sat nav in my RS4 as it is a 'step up' executive toy. It is priced so absurdly though for something any PC with a GPS receiver would do standing on its head!

Plenty of dodgy nicked OE ones on e-bay mind - if your conscience allows it...

Ohh and NO RS4 is worth less than £30k!

I've just bought a Noggy Blue RS4 with 30K on it from South Hereford Audi. It has 12 months warranty obviously and all checks have been done. It does have silver leather, Tracker etc. but no Sat Nav, which I have to say is no loss to me. Paid £32000. Colour, trim, mileage and mint condition were the most important things to me. Yours sounds like a bargain at that price! You just need the right buyer.

I got the impression when looking for mine that there are a lot more cars out there at the moment than buyers. Managed to haggle quite a lot off a few cars before settling on the one I bought. If I'd wanted avus silver there were loads. My advice would be to be patient so long as you can afford to.

Well its still for sale and my ear is getting sore from the amount of callers! No green stuff yet tho. Fontain just called and offered the highest dealer price yet (hope you can read that Rob!). Someone out there must be looking for a car like mine in London-shire. Fly up it will be worth it, ill pick you up in your new motor!

It must be too cheap.

Not as many RS4s up for sale as there was a few weeks ago,Audi network show 7 cars to choose from.
Autotrader have a mixed bag on offer at the moment with prices from £24k for high mileage LHD examples.

Price wise a 2001 car with 30k-ish on the clock is being pitched in around the £33k mark.

Even sticking a warrenty on RS4ABZ12s Nogaro RS4(1350 inc inspection)
his car looks like a good buy  ......dealers are looking for £33k plus for a similar RS4.
Cheers fc

So have you sold her? I'm surprised both you and Frank stuggled. Both your cars are low milage fairly priced motors IMHO. I would have given that price for them. I wonder if the new RS4 had any bearing on it. folk scared the price would collapse which is often the case. Having seen the new RS4 without turbos etc I think we have the last of the good RS's for some time.

Golich i think your right mate we have the last of the proper turbo rs4s,the only reason the cars didnt get snapped up is there location, its one hell of a drive or flight etc and if it isnt the one for you youve wasted your weekend, reading on other threads it would seem that fountain are selling all they can get there hands on and at good money.

In all honesty I think there is also the stigma of buying privately which isn't helping. would not bother me if I was looking, but as one of my employees said yesterday while looking for a £25K car, 'I would rather buy it from a dealer and get the cover they have to provide by law.' HPI and extended warrenty provide some cover, but today as the law stands, you still buy/sold as seen from private individual and if something raises its head after the sale, there is little to do except revert to litigation.

DVLA was the main reason my car didnt sell on,all the hassle with colour did hold up the sale.....2 weeks after the adverts expired on Autotrader i was still getting calls about the car.
One lad went nuts, when after the DVLA problem was sorted out i told him the car was no longer for sale.

Stafford Audi buyer said that they are buying RS4's because they monitor stock levels of certain cars on the Audi UK used car locator. At present there are few RS4' s on the list and mainly the same colour. As far as I can see the warranty will cost them a grand on top of the car that makes £29k then the transport say £400 and then there is the trade in factor say 2k (risk factor). The ceiling price has to be about 32/33k. The profit would seem to be about 2.5/3k for a 30k investment. A knowledgeable buyer will need the belts done before he takes delivery too so thats more money down. This is probably why the average trade in value for my car was £25k.

Just remember - "Good cars always sell"

Just had my dealer up in Manchester asking for first refusal when I come to sell.

Confidence in the new one must be high

But he's not getting it for that.
