I know that Movit also supply another 6 pots caliper called 6m3 (installed on Porsche 996 GT2). Is Movit 6s1 Billet caliper perform better? Any reason why choosing Billet caliper other than the on used on GT2?

I am using this this new conversion because it will fit under the standard wheels, the GT2 kit needed 19" wheels to clear the callipers

Just been to NEC Autosport and was amazed by options for brakes on the RS4. Seems there are a few new designs being introduced. Tarox are offering an 8 pot and 12 pot model for the fronts now. AP Racing have a new 6 pot design with floating discs to avoid the brake judder that I have read on various posts on this forum. AP also offer a rear kit that doesn't take as much fiddling to fit as others on the market, due to better integation of the rear handbrake set-up. Stoptech appeared too, their kit was well over £3K, I questioned this and they didn't have a UK price list, just used some multiplication magic to the $ prices, so much for them being my value find of 2005. That leaves Movit with their 6 pot design and the Ray West manufactured Porsche based 4 pots that AMD use. So so much choice. I feel like a kid in a candy store again.

I'm sure Kim will not be pleased with all this new choice around!
I hope these new products do not cause him to loose any business.

six pot kit part numbers are CP5555-1034B for black callipers and CP5555-1034R for red callipers. Kit consists of stainles steel flexi brake hose gaurds, aluminium bells and floating discs and brakets, bolts and washers. Slight delay on discs at present but worth waiting for at £2k inc vat....think I know which way my feet are voting :bigblink:

Are the new floating discs meant to make a big difference. If so, is it possible to just change the discs (and I'm assuming bells as well) with my current 6-pot caliper still fitting the floating discs (currently got non-floating grooved discs).

Brembo Brakes

Post by zeke » Tue Jan 18, 2005 6:28 pm

Has anybody tried the brembo kit part number 33.0017.00 for the RS4, I believe is cost around 3,200 Euros. The kit comes with a 355 x 32 mm disks and 4 pot caliper.

Best Regards

Zeke
