Can RS4 stock clutch hold 600Nm+ and 500HP+ of engine output
Can RS4 stock clutch hold 600Nm+ and 500HP+ of engine output
Is the clutch upgrade a must or just a recommandation?
RE: Can RS4 stock clutch hold 600Nm+ and 500HP+ of engine ou
I think it's pretty much a must..if you consider that there's quite a few owners who've managed to get through a standard clutch with standard power output, I can't see a standard one lasting too long with 500+bhp.
Besides, if you're thinking of spending that much money to get 500bhp+, then whats an extra 1k for a clutch

Mine is just about coping with 500BHP and around 600Nm, however once it goes I will definatley put in a LW flywheel and will look at uprating the clutch, my concern is the uprated ones are very fierce for road driving.

I upgraded mine as the standard one failed with only 458bhp. Depends really on how you drive the car.

I have a friend with an S4 producing about 500 hp and 700 nm and he is getting a bit of slippage on his RS4 clutch. S4 engines tend to produce a little more torque. He will upgrade to a Sachs racing clutch.

Your sig says 548bhp! Is that right?! The torque figure of 490 looks pretty high too.RS4_Barry wrote:I upgraded mine as the standard one failed with only 458bhp. Depends really on how you drive the car.
