Snow chains

Post by jar » Wed Nov 24, 2004 5:11 pm

I'm sure I'd seen it on here before but can anyone confirm that snow chains cannot be fitted to the RS4 without a change of wheels?

The skiing trip is approaching rapidly!

I did spot a product here www.spikesspider.com that looked might it might do the trick. Any comments on these?

Cheers

John

Saw a Swiss registered RS4 with standard wheels in Austria in January, it had a similar sort of system but instead of the disc in the centre, there was a large knob which seemed to adjust the tension on the arms which provided the grip.

Poor quality pics I can't really tell how it fixes and I don't have time to read the "How does it work"

I have Spikesspider super product and works well on standard car.........I now have 19" RS6 wheels and GMBH suspension, the gap between tyre and wheelarch is too small........so I guess my spikes spider is for sale if you want. (I bought a Toyota jeep for winter instead)
