Worn Carpet - Who's had theirs replaced?
Worn Carpet - Who's had theirs replaced?
Warranty company gave me the bird for replacing the worn drivers footwell carpet, they said it was wear and tear. Clear case on a 2 1/2 year old £50k++ car to them, but not to me.
I remember some of you guys getting your carpets replaced, sometimes more than once. Any chance you could let me know who carried out the job so I can give it a go with them?
Thanks guys,
Ben

Quite a few of us have had the carpets replaced under warranty through local Audi dealers with various results. The whole of the interior has to be stripped out with its associated problems (broken clips - screws left out etc)
Mine had worn within 9 months but I still have not had mine replaced due to the above problems that are bound to happen!!!
Have you tried getting a "boy racer" screw on cover for the rest (Sparco type) that may cover that area
kc

Can remember quite a few getting their carpets replaced in the first year, I had mine done, and was covered but the car was 7 months old at the time. There were various reasons offered up but I think, from memory, was put into the file heading: Badly fitted at manufacture
There was certainly much mention on 4.org, if you can get a copy of those posts and give it to Bird waving Warranty company, they may have to change their tune

I refused to have mine replaced because I didnt want some cowboy playing with the seats and airbags etc. Mine had a slight wear, so I got Black Elephant tape and taped over it. It been like for 2 years and the tape hasnt needed replacing once. When (probably never) sell the car, I will remove the tape, give the new owner the spare roll and suggest he does the same. TBH, you can't see it. Tape vertically overlapping front back of car to front. Works brilliantly
Standard RS4 (is it the only standard one left?)
