I fit nothing else - with 137,000 miles on the clock, I guess having fitted them every 10,000, thats about 50+ tyres - maybe I should get shares in Yoko

Best tyres, but too loud and hard, using them with MTM Bimoto 19x9,5, Yokos: 265/30-19

I went for Dunlops this time having had SO3's, ( i know they are not the correct tyre) as they were the cheapest the dealer had, but next time round it will be the Pilot Sports, as having used these on my daily hack, are very impressive

I run Goodyear Egale F1's 13k on them so far and i think there a good allround tire and at £172 a tire fitted cant argue with that. Great in the wet and dry, pilots are a bit over priced imo and made by G.E.S.M

F1's were no good, got a refund on those from Goodyear as they started to blister in the middle, so did a couple of other owneres if I recall

I know there was this problem but i have not had this problem myself Golich is running the same tires so we'll see if he reports any problems. what sort of miles was on the tires when they started to blister. i might try Hankooks £50 less a tire worth a try

about 1500 miles, i think it was my enthusiastic driving

Apparently in the centre of the tyre where the rib is, this has a different compound of rubber behind it designed to absorb and dissapate the hea built up in enthusistic driving

Well what happened with mine was the heat build up got so much it seperated the rubber causing a split to appear

Alledgedly safe but makes you wonder why they gave a refund?

Cheers

Where does everyone buy their tyres ? - locally ? or any cheap on-line deals......?

I like Goodyear F1's and have always had them on previous cars - but bushy's comments do concern me. I currently have the Yoko's on as Jon (previous owner) used to swear by them. However, for me they wear out far to quickly and my pockets are not that deep......

So looking for a tyre with as much grip as the Yoko's - that wear as well as the F1's but don't fall apart - any ideas ?

Michellin Pilot SPort

Lasted me 16k miles and 2 track days

THe Yoko's seem OK, so far done 8k miles with little wear, no track days though

I think the F1's are OK on narrower width tyres, say up to 235, then they use a slightly differnt construction, not sure just guessing

Good luck
