Yellow RS4 v's 911 Turbo in Bracknell?

Post by levron » Wed Mar 31, 2004 5:25 pm

My work colleague has just called from his car to say that he has just witnessed a yellow RS4 taking on a 911 turbo through Bracknell - obviously missed the mobile speed trap that was there yesterday!!

Apparently the RS4 came out tops...even round the bends!?

Hmm, I got shouted down for suggesting it happened on the track a year ago.
Standard RS4 (is it the only standard one left?)

That would be me on the way home from getting the new motor.
911 turbo (996 ) was my mate who took me up to get the car.
New car and my first spot, can't be bad.
Have to say I love the RS already, very different to the S, the
power although very similar is delivered in a totally different way.

I have to say one reason he was behind was that we were not sure the RS would stop,
blimey those std front brakes are dire.
Suffice it to say, booked in for 380mm discs and movit 4 pots already !!!!!!

HI Ian,
Someone got a bargin, went to a very nice chap in Portsmouth.
He has interesting plans for the car so she should be even quicker
soon
Certainley one S4 I won't be racing until I get the hybrid turbo's in the RS !

I am sure he will post more detail here once he is ready.
