HI, just taken delivery of my Imola B5 and had a few suspension related questions if anybody can help out.
I want to lower it, purely for the looks... but don't want to spend a lot. I have a set of KW V3s from my B6 S4 but don't fancy them on a car again and will be looking to sell them as they were crashy as hell. Has anybody here gone for the H&R springs only route?
i.e. http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.ph ... xSec=10100
I'm looking for a comfortable ride, just lower for aesthetic purposes... but is 40mm too low for speed bumps, etc? Plenty of those around where I live and the B6 cat-back (Milltek) would occasionally skim them if taken at the wrong angle.
And, for real-world, day-to-day road driving, are the H&Rs sufficient? The KWs were surely overkill and I don't see the point anymore. Am I wrong?

Re: H&R 40 mm Spring Kit
Hi,
I have H&R coilovers, they are very good except confortable. In My w164 Ml I have Eibach springs with the original shocks and those I can tell you that work as a sport confort, I don´t know if they make it for the RS4, when I bought those springs I just followed a few Mercedes forum members that told me the H&R used to be allways more stiff, though I guess if they make it you could go to Eibach springs.

Re: H&R 40 mm Spring Kit
I went with the H&R springs in the end and pick the car up on Saturday. OE dampers remain (car has 84,000 on the clock so may have been replaced at some point). Will see how it goes. As stated, it's mainly for the looks because I want to retain ride comfort... just hoping that I clear speed bumps... probably unlikely! Otherwise the car has had an fairly extensive refresh in the suspension department with lots of bushings and links replaced... I'll see how she goes at the weekend!
