Advise on colour of RS4 ???

Post by sjcrewdson » Fri Feb 20, 2004 4:45 pm

Could be about to take on the second biggest financial commitment barr the mortgage !!
Thinking of A 01' Y in Denim Blue, w/o Sat Nav nav with all other goodies. It's done 22k.
Any thoughts about whether it's a good colour or not, paranoid about getting it wrong and losing stacks !!
Goodwood is a no-no so I've been told.

I personally like denim blue, and as far as RS4's go I think it will be pretty exclusive! But Sat tends to help with the depreciation as this seems to be the most desirable option and quite rare

The car you are talking about is a very low spec IMO.
I love Denim Blue and would have gone to see it otherwise.
It is still an RS4 though and there's not many about at the moment. Good luck

Sat Nav+ is well rare at the moment. Denim is a colour that doesn't appeal to everyone - I don't mind it, but I think of it as second best to the rest of the std colours. Certainly don't pay over the odds for it.
If there's a colour that you prefer then just wait for it to come up, it will eventually.

Cheers

Ben

Denim's a nice colour IMHO. Possibly a bit girly on, say, a TT. But RS4 is a butch car so can cope...

Personally I rate condition over spec, given that a bog standard RS4 has leather, recaros, cruise, Bose, DIS etc. The options list wasn't very long - see the scan here in Tanoga's gallery - and as others have said Nav+ is the only thing that seems to affect residuals.

Having viewed a few RS4s before getting mine, I concluded that there are a surprising number of ropey examples. So I say again: Condition, Condition, Condition. If you've seen a few you'll know whether the (York?) Denim one has been well looked after.

Good luck,
Richard.

Many thanks for your honesty & yep it's the York car, went on the system today. They have already knocked £1k of the price just through asking. !!

Apparently there was a Misano car in Wimbledon a couple of weeks back, which I've not seen on Audi.co.uk.

The York car was on the site a week back, dissappeared, then came back yesterday (or close enough). If they're knocked £1k off then it probably got sold, buyer pulled out, now they want rid of. Or I could be completely wrong.

Best of luck,

Ben

Sure would be, the general feeling I am getting is that I should hang out for a Sat Nav model to protect my cash better?!?!

Nice looking car in blue, but obviously a special order colour and as stated, not everybody's cuppa.
Hold out for a silver or red or black car, with more toys than the blue one and make sure it has leather.

Noggy blue with silver leather (of course i am biased) when it is clean!!! this combination looks excellant. I would however agree with some of the previous posts, condition would be much more important to me than spec!

RS4 (standard) SOLD and I miss it!
