looking for an rs4
hi guys years since ihave posted but after a few years in bmw i am looking towards an rs4 b5
i owned kim collins rs3 a few years ago and whilst i loved the engine it was only ever a fun pocket rocket
i am looking at a rs4 as a daily driver and have only just started looking i have recently left a 335d tourer running 350 brake and 540 lb ft evolve remap (5 sec 60) and although i realise that i will forgo any mpg i would like to have a tunable car
from memory the rs3 was about 470 bhp and i would like something similar but able to use with the family and dog (guess a bit more grown up!)
most adverts seem to point to nick johnson what are the cars really like?
any help greatfully received

RE: looking for an rs4
The RS4 was a great family hauler for me. I "only" had the MTM remap to 420BHP and it was certainly my kids' preferred mode of transportation. I liked the understated look with supercar performance. Stock brakes are fine if you are planning road use only and I found the stock suspension just about comfortable but you can certainly go a lot more extreme. Even the "hard" wheels buckle quite easily with the low profile tires. You'll certainly miss the BMWs mpg and torque. I was in the 20-22 mpg range driving back and forth to work. My car was very reliable and I wished I could have taken it with me back to the US. It's now for sale with NJ. I bought an E63 AMG to get pretty much the same fun factor at a much higher price.

I have such a car for sale. How does 550 horsepower in an estate car sound?
Goodwood green RS4, previously owned by jeffw
I dont no him nothing mate.ollys wrote:Yes and the person who owns the white one also owned until recently QST's S3 - so you'll have something in common...LOLABU10 wrote:Why dont you check out the white one on PH
Looks like a stunner to me.
Worth giving it a try.
Just seen it on PH and looks really impressive.

Mine is up for sale with quite a few mods done at kim's place, she is only rumming 420bhp at the mo but it wouldnt take much to beef up the power, however it is in stunning condition and all the majors are done it is in the classifieds if you are interested.
