RS4 Cams

Post by s4what » Sat Jan 24, 2004 2:43 am

Over on Audi World we have some saying that RS4 cams would be a good mod for the S4. Anyone know the lift & duration specs for both?

Well remember that the RS4 cylinder head is different to that in the S4. Whether the RS4 can be used without changing the RS4 head and valves would have to be investigated.

Perhaps a question of AmD or QST.

According some of our Audi World resident "experts" the RS4 cams do benifit S4 engine configurations from stock and up. Of course our "experts" are often full of $hit. I am aware of the RS4 heads and manifold increased intake passage size, larger throttle body and 9.0 vs 9.4 CR. The question is if RS4 cams alone would give a good portion of the benifit, especially on K04 converted engines with appropriate software. Cam installation is fairly easy compared to a full RS4 head/intake conversion. I don't know if Cosworth would bother to talk to me, but I'll give it a try.
