21k for misano red 40k miles am I mad
Looking at buying this vehicle of Nick Johnson, a really nice guy viewed car, mint condition but I can't help but think it a lot of money, what's your opinion.
AUDI RS4 AVANT 41000 MILES £21000 ono
Registered in sept 2001 and only covered 41000 miles from new with full audi and specialist service history.Last sevice in july 2010 inc brake fluid change/engine flush air con service etc.Timing belt change at 33000 miles.
Full black recaro leather interior with carbon trim
centre armrest
6 cd changer
full size spare wheel
Finished in metallic misano red (the best colour) with 18"rs4 alloys in dunlop rubber in superb condition.
This car has been meticulously maintained by myself and both former keepers. It is one of the lowest mileage rs4s i have seen and is probably one of the best. The only upgrades to this car are the b7 front brakes everything else is original and untouched as i believe it should be.
Taxed and tested until dec 2010 with all mot certificates original bill of sale and all other paperwork.
This is a very reluctant sale and any inspection is welcome.
Viewing is essential to appreciate how superb these cars really are.

Hi mate, while not doubting its a cracking car,it seems a touch heavy on price to me.Obviously a dealer has to earn a living via mark up etc....privately car would/should be cheaper. As ever (boring to hear i know!) its worth what you/someone will pay for it.
2001 Avus RS4 B5/Revo map/full Milltek/Downpipes/B7 fronts/GMBH suspension/shortshifter/Forge dv's/MRC panel filter/RS2 plugs,Vreds,plus all the usual goodies,Nav Plus,RS4 logo mats,Parrot,p/plate

It's probably one of the best out there for sale, it's just what you're prepared to pay for it.

There is continuous debate about the advertised prices of B5 RS4's across the forums at the moment but as already mentioned, it's only worth what you are prepared to pay for it......
Watching the classifieds there is now quite a divide in price between the low mileage / owner examples and the examples that have average miles / condition etc for a 9 or 10 year old car.
If you have viewed the car at Nicks and compared it to some other higher mileage examples it should be a good bit better all round I would expect.
I certainly wouldn't put you off spending top money, I looked for 3 years to find the best example in the spec I wanted and finally found what I was looking for at Nick's last year..... I paid through the nose for it but have absolutely no regrets what so ever.
Good Luck!!!

Just can't get the smile off my face......
Having bought a similar age car (though with many more miles) from this dealer recently I suggest you ensure youre very clear on what the warranty does and doesn't cover (apparently a fuel pump is in the same category as brakes and clutch!!!), and get all the details in writing before handing over any money. I also suggest you're clear on what tyres will end up on the car when you collect it and that any ICE upgrades actually work... Rushing a purchase can prove expensive - be careful not to be blinded by the idea that just because it's a top end Audi that nothing ever wears out.
Good luck!

A car is only worth what you are willing to pay for it. Keep on mind that brakes, timing belt, buckled wheels can be expensive maintenance items and that sometimes cheap cars end up not being so cheap at the end if you take high cost maintenance items into account. Keep in mind that some dealers sell cars on consignment (like mine) so the ultimate selling price is up to the owner. This particular car seems to be one of the lowest mileage examples out there so it will fetch a premium for just that reason. Remember that shopping is half the fun.

That's correct the car was for sale prior to Nick buying car, which does carry some good/bad points
bad/have to pay Nick profit margin Good/Nick has great experience of RS4 B5 so Nock wouldn't purchase a bad example for top money unless he had confidence in the car. I have considered looking privately but finding a great example is very time consuming as I'm sure you all know!!

i paid 21 000(17500) euros for a 130 000km (80 000 miles) in v g condition rs4
21000£ for 41 000 miles i think is worth. after your first ride with the car you'll a huge smile on your face. the smile on my face is now almost 4 months old
i just love this care and decided not even to think about selling it for the next 10 years
