The B7 has the bucket seats......and they feel exactly the same to me. So that's the end of that idea. I know there are ones without bucket seats about but i've seen nothing close to me on that front.

oh well, plan B i suppose.
i went to look at a B7 at guildford audi yesterday and i wasnt to impressed with the bucket seats, not as comfortable as the b5`s

did you play about to get them in the best position?

I find the RS 4 buckets much more comfortable than the old RS 6 / 4 recaro's

Dont get me wrong, the old Recaro's are very comfortable (i drove to munich in them) but I find the RS4 buckets are much better when dirivng fast, but just as comfortable cruising

Did it have an armrest?

Yes, tried different positions etc. Main problem for me is i feel that i'm sitting on the base rather than in it if you follow. And no i haven't got a fat arse....

Agree not as comfortable on road but on the track they keep you in the seat, that's the difference. Find one that has the Recaro's, the Convertible B7 RS I drove had them in and they were nice.

I've just gone "backwards" from almost 3 years in a B7 to a B5 S4 although essentially running in RS4+ spec.

The B7 is just so uber-capable that I've decided that I'm missing some of the fun of driving being in one.

I'm looking for a drive that forces me to concentrate more rather than let the car do the work and I think you have to move "backwards" to find that these days....

I have RS2 Recaros in my Ur and they are so much better than the standard RS4 ones. They grip you so much better.

Just need to get the back reupholstered to match now..
